Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking team members for an in-store role in Austin, TX to deliver friendly customer service, help shoppers, and ensure a fast checkout.

You will participate in trucks, stocking, and merchandising to keep the store well-presented and in stock. Responsibilities include promoting and enrolling customers in Rewards and Private Label Credit Cards, supporting omnichannel processes, and adhering to SOPs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move around the store.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Maintain store recovery and stock levels; manage returns and go-backs.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs; follow SOPs and company policies.
