Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to drive end-to-end construction of new retail stores, from design to openings. You will lead budgets, schedules, vendor contracts, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality stores that enhance the Meta brand.

The role requires 12+ years in construction PM, multi-project experience, and strong knowledge of civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical systems. Travel up to 50% to Meta Retail sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent work experience.
• 12+ years of experience in construction project management, including planning, budgeting, and delivery of construction projects.
• Multi-project experience in large-scale construction management, mission critical, infrastructure, and/or retail construction.
• General knowledge of civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of capital budget management and contract administration.
• Negotiation skills and experience providing solutions to problems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction, commissioning, and turnover of a Retail Store.
• Manage the project budget and cost changes, negotiating pricing as needed.
• Develop and manage project schedules and associated risks to ensure timely turnover.
• Oversee warranty and tenant improvements in live environments as required.
• Communicate status and risks to leadership and stakeholders.
• Negotiate vendor and contractor contracts and purchase orders.
• Mitigate project risk through proactive planning and partnerships.
• Identify cost savings and underruns early for the project.
• Collaborate with General Contractor and vendors to build partnerships.
• Coordinate with Procurement/Sourcing to support project needs.
• Support pre-construction efforts for upcoming projects, including budgets.
• Promote prefabrication strategies to streamline construction.
• Assist with capital project budgets and rough-order-of-magnitude estimates.
• Support on-site inspections to ensure zero punch-list and rapid turnover to Facilities Operations.
• Travel approximately 50% to Meta Retail sites.
• Respond to emergencies as needed.
