Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead end-to-end construction of new retail stores, from design to openings. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent work experience.
• 12+ years of experience in construction project management, including planning, budgeting, and delivery of construction projects.
• Multi-Project experience in large scale construction management, mission critical, infrastructure, and/or retail construction.
• General knowledge of civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of capital budget management and contract administration.
• Negotiation skills and experience providing solutions to problems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the construction, commissioning, and turnover of a Retail Store.
• Manage the budget associated with the project.
• Manage the cost change process and negotiate best pricing.
• Manage the schedule and associated risks to ensure reliable turnover dates.
• Manage warranty and tenant improvement work in the live environment when/as necessary.
• Communicate upward regarding status and risks of the project.
• Negotiate vendor and contractor contracts and purchase orders as needed.
• Mitigate risk for the project through pre-planning, innovative planning, and partnership.
• Develop cost savings solutions and identify project savings/underruns early.
• Partner with the General Contractor and other Vendors to build collaborative relationships.
• Partner with Internal Cross Functional Partners to build collaborative relationships.
• Coordinate needs with Procurement/Sourcing to support the project.
• Support pre-construction efforts for upcoming projects.
• Promote prefabrication strategies.
• Support Capital Project Budgets and construction ROM estimates.
• Support on-site inspection processes to ensure a zero punch-list and expeditious turnover to Facilities Ops.
• 50% travel to Meta Retail sites.
• Respond on an as-needed basis to emergencies.
