Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) seeks a Chief Financial Officer for our CAAS practice in Green Bay, WI. The role focuses on leading financial policy, planning, budgeting, and strategic guidance for retail clients, with frequent client-facing engagements.

The candidate will oversee budgeting, cash flow, audits, and financial reporting, while building client relationships and driving thought leadership in the industry. A hybrid work environment and travel to client sites are expected.

Qualifications

• 8 years of relative work experience as an Assistant Controller, Controller, or equivalent, preferably in retail.
• Retail industry experience is highly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree is required; combination of experience and training may be accepted.
• CPA certification is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks Online is highly preferred.
• Hybrid and flexible working environment with travel to client locations or office as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set financial policy with client and drive overall strategy.
• Lead financial administration, planning, and budgeting.
• Provide financial analysis of projections, cost allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.
• Oversee long-term budget planning and cost management.
• Monitor budgets and present operational metrics.
• Manage cash flow and forecasting, directing financial accounting.
• Coordinate audit activities and client engagements.
• Develop external business networks and serve as a thought leader in service and industry.
