Job summary

CLA is seeking a Controller with Retail industry experience to join our CAAS team in Green Bay, WI. You will act as Controller for designated clients, advising on best practices in accounting and finance while mentoring staff and designing back-office solutions.

You will prepare and analyze financial statements, develop management reporting packages, and stay current on industry policies and standards while traveling locally to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 7 years of accounting experience, with preferred retail exposure.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Willingness to travel locally to client sites and some non-local travel.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Controller for designated clients and provide advisory services on accounting and finance engagements.
• Mentor staff and seniors, and design back-office solutions for clients.
• Prepare and analyze client financial statements and make recommendations.
• Prepare management reporting packages to aid boards and management with financial results.
• Attend industry events and trainings to stay current as a CLA industry professional.
• Maintain knowledge of client policies, federal/state directives, and current accounting standards.
