Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland & East Central Ohio is seeking a part-time Cashier/Sales Floor Associate in Massillon, OH. You will handle transactions, stock shelves, and build relationships with customers and donors in a friendly store environment.

Major responsibilities include cash handling, POS usage, inventory support, customer service excellence, and helping maintain a clean, organized selling floor. This role emphasizes safety and teamwork within the Donated Goods Retail program.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have strong math skills and comfort with basic computer use.
• Customer service skills and a friendly disposition are essential.
• Retail experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to recognize color shades and apparel inspection is helpful.
• HS diploma or GED preferred; may be required for some roles.

Responsibilities

• Ensures 100% donor and customer satisfaction.
• Itemizes purchases on the POS system, handles cash and makes change, and implements agency programs (e.g., Round Up, Loyalty).
• Uses POS software to input starting and ending cash amounts and maintain accurate records.
• Handles customer disputes, performs exchanges per policy, and assists customers in a friendly manner.
• Assists in stock rotation, merchandising racks, shelves, and other displays in a presentable manner.
• Assists store leadership in training new personnel.
• Maintains a clean store, including shelves, dusting, vacuuming floors, and windows/mirrors.
• Assists with floor running, apparel rotation, and dressing-room upkeep.
• Follows all safety policies and works with the team to address safety concerns.
• Embraces DGR MODE Guiding Principles.
• Ends every transaction with: "You changed a life today, Thank you!"
• Performs other duties as assigned
