Job description

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge customers entering the store, assist on the sales floor, and answer the phone professionally within three rings.
• Operate the store cash register, handle cash, credit card transactions, process discounts, and balance the register.
• Stock, straighten, rotate, and maintain cleanliness of the store area efficiently and according to standards.
• Request assistance from managers for returns, exchanges, and customer complaints.
• Maintain store cleanliness by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
• Build positive relationships with team members and leadership, collaborating cross-functionally to improve communication.
• Follow safe work practices and maintain a hazard-free workplace by removing obstructions and keeping aisles clear.
• Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with MERS/Goodwill's dress code.
• Safeguard assets including cash, donated, and purchased items from harm, damage, or theft, and report incidents of theft or unauthorized possession.
• Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
