Job summary

Kennesaw State University is seeking a Manager, Retail Dining Operations to plan, develop, implement and oversee the university dining programs on the Kennesaw campus, including front and back of house operations. This supervisory role manages staff and works closely with facilities, marketing and culinary teams.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ServSafe certification or within 12 months, and at least two years of supervisory food service experience.

• Provides a superior dining hall experience that meets student lifestyle needs.
• Ensures self-operated dining program offers variety, quality, cleanliness, and freshness.
• Coordinates with maintenance and facilities to keep equipment well-maintained and functional.
• Manages labor including hiring, employee relations, performance, and scheduling.
• Assists in managing expenses, revenues, and overall financial success of the dining program.
• Assists leaders in implementing new culinary programs and promotions with marketing and culinary teams.
• Trains and develops staff, including direct reports.
