Job summary

Southwest Boulder & Stone in Gardena, CA is seeking a highly motivated Branch Manager to lead our Gardena store. You will train, coach and develop associates, oversee day-to-day operations, and ensure customers find materials easily.

Proficiency with computers, POS and inventory is essential. The role requires strong product knowledge, leadership skills and the ability to manage schedules, safety meetings, and quarterly inventory.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of managing retail operations.
• 5+ years of inventory management experience.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication; adapt to audiences.
• Proficient with computers and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee retail counter and yard duties.
• Maintain store/yard appearance and product presentation.
• Meet and greet customers and troubleshoot issues.
• Open and close store; reconcile daily close-out.
• Manage petty cash and receipts; generate daily recap.
• Input numbers into P&L; report weekly/monthly recap.
• Control expenses; report variances to General Manager.
• Maintain inventory levels; process shipments.
• Be a product expert on all lines.
• Schedule monthly staff with GM approval.
• Conduct monthly safety meetings.
• Train new hires and provide ongoing product training.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations.
