Job summary

PenFed Credit Union in Cibolo, TX is hiring a Retail Banker to work onsite at our Financial Center. The role focuses on extending member relationships by offering appropriate financial solutions and services, while handling cash transactions accurately and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate Degree and at least two years of customer service and sales experience, with preferred Spanish bilingual abilities and familiarity with AI tools.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in related field (business management/business administration/finance).
• Minimum of two (2) years of superior customer service required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated successful sales experience is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of at least six (6) months of cash handling experience.
• Experience in financial services and knowledge of financial services industry.
• Notary Public, preferred (not applicable for Puerto Rico locations).
• Previous phone based customer service experience, preferred.
• Bilingual-Spanish preferred.
• Experience using AI tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver results by meeting or exceeding goals in a member-centric, results driven environment.
• Display strong interpersonal skills, including engaging others in dialogue and building relationships.
• Resolve problems independently using critical thinking; escalate as needed for member satisfaction.
• Cross-sell PenFed loan and share products as appropriate.
• Assist members with loan applications, terms, and disbursement.
• Provide Notary Services when Notary Public and state regulations permit.
• Provide inbound call support when required.
• Support branches, including weekends/extended hours as needed to operate the business.
• Maintain proficiency in PenFed systems (SalesForce, PenTeller, Knowledge, Hogan, etc.).
