Qualifications

• Associate degree in business, finance or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of superior customer service experience.
• Minimum 2 years of demonstrated sales experience preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of cash handling experience.
• Experience in financial services and knowledge of financial products.
• Notary Public preferred (not for Puerto Rico locations).
• Bilingual-Spanish required; AI tools experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Deliver member-focused service and cross-sell PenFed loan and share products as appropriate.
• Assist members with cash transactions and basic banking needs.
• Engage with teammates and partners to provide seamless member experiences.
• Maintain proficiency in PenFed systems (SalesForce, PenTeller, etc.).
• Travel to various worksites and be on-call as needed.

PenFed is hiring a Retail Banker to work onsite at our Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico Financial Center. The primary purpose of this job is to extend member relationships by offering appropriate financial solutions and services to meet our members’ needs. The incumbent will also train to conduct cash transactions and will be asked to process transactions both accurately and efficiently as needed.

Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

• Associate Degree in a related field such as business management, business administration, or finance.
• Minimum of two (2) years of superior customer service required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated successful sales experience is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of at least six (6) months of cash handling experience.
• Experience in financial services and knowledge of financial services industry, products and solutions.
• Valid Notary Public, preferred (not applicable for Puerto Rico locations).
• Previous phone based customer service experience, preferred.
• Bilingual-Spanish required.
• Experienceusing A.I. tools preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will not supervise employees.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

Pay Transparency

The anticipated starting hourly rate for this role is $17.25.This position is eligible for an organizational performance based annual bonus, subject to board discretion and approval.This position is eligible for an individual performance based annual bonus.
