Job summary

PenFed Credit Union is hiring a Retail Banker to work onsite at our Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico Financial Center. The role focuses on extending member relationships by offering suitable financial solutions and services, while training to conduct cash transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

Equivalents in education and experience are acceptable. A Notary Public is preferred (not applicable for Puerto Rico locations).

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business, finance or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of superior customer service experience.
• Minimum 2 years of demonstrated sales experience preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of cash handling experience.
• Experience in financial services and knowledge of financial products.
• Notary Public preferred (not for Puerto Rico locations).
• Bilingual-Spanish required; AI tools experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Deliver member-focused service and cross-sell PenFed loan and share products as appropriate.
• Assist members with cash transactions and basic banking needs.
• Engage with teammates and partners to provide seamless member experiences.
• Maintain proficiency in PenFed systems (SalesForce, PenTeller, etc.).
• Travel to various worksites and be on-call as needed.
