Job summary

The position requires bilingual Spanish communication and weekend/extended-hour availability. The successful candidate will handle loan applications, maintain proficiency in PenFed systems, and support other branches as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business management, administration, or finance.
• Minimum of two years of superior customer service.
• Minimum of two years of demonstrated successful sales experience.
• Minimum of six months of cash handling experience.
• Experience in financial services and knowledge of products and solutions.
• Notary Public is preferred (not required for Puerto Rico locations).
• Bilingual in Spanish required.
• Experience using AI tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver results by meeting or exceeding goals in a member-centric environment.
• Engage members to understand needs and cross-sell PenFed loan and share products.
• Assist with loan applications, terms review, and disbursement processes.

Job Overview

PenFed is hiring a Retail Banker to work onsite at our Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico Financial Center. The primary purpose of this job is to extend member relationships by offering appropriate financial solutions and services to meet our members' needs. The incumbent will also train to conduct cash transactions and will be asked to process transactions both accurately and efficiently as needed.

• Provide support to other branches to include working weekends and/or extended hours as required to operate the business.
• Maintain high level of proficiency in operating all internal PenFed systems or platforms to include but limited to SalesForce, PenTeller, Knowledge, Hogan, inbound calls network, etc. to support needs of members, and business.
• Support additional PenFed initiatives to support needs of members, and business.
• If Notary Public, will be responsible for providing members Notary Services while adhering

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in a related field such as business management, business administration, or finance.
• Minimum of two (2) years of superior customer service required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated successful sales experience is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of at least six (6) months of cash handling experience.
• Experience in financial services and knowledge of financial services industry, products and solutions.
• Valid Notary Public, preferred (not applicable for Puerto Rico locations).
• Previous phone based customer service experience, preferred.
• Bilingual-Spanish required.
• Experience using A.I. tools preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will not supervise employees.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

Travel

Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required.

Pay Transparency

The anticipated starting hourly rate for this role is $17.25.

This position is eligible for an organizational performance based annual bonus, subject to board discretion and approval.
