Job summary

PenFed Credit Union in Cibolo, TX is hiring a Retail Banker to work onsite at our Financial Center. The role focuses on extending member relationships by offering appropriate financial solutions and services, while handling cash transactions accurately and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate Degree and at least two years of customer service and sales experience, with preferred Spanish bilingual abilities and familiarity with AI tools.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in related field (business management/business administration/finance).
• Minimum of two (2) years of superior customer service required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated successful sales experience is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of at least six (6) months of cash handling experience.
• Experience in financial services and knowledge of financial services industry.
• Notary Public, preferred (not applicable for Puerto Rico locations).
• Previous phone based customer service experience, preferred.
• Bilingual-Spanish preferred.
• Experience using AI tools preferred.

• Support branches, including weekends/extended hours as needed to operate the business.
• Maintain proficiency in PenFed systems (SalesForce, PenTeller, Knowledge, Hogan, etc.).

The primary purpose of this job is to extend member relationships by offering appropriate financial solutions and services to meet our members' needs. The incumbent will also train to conduct cash transactions and will be asked to process transactions both accurately and efficiently as needed.

Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

• Associate Degree in a related field such as business management, business administration, or finance.
• Minimum of two (2) years of superior customer service required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated successful sales experience is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of at least six (6) months of cash handling experience.
• Experience in financial services and knowledge of financial services industry, products and solutions.
• Valid Notary Public, preferred (not applicable for Puerto Rico locations).
• Previous phone based customer service experience, preferred.
• Bilingual-Spanish preferred.
• Experienceusing A.I. tools preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will not supervise employees.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

Pay Transparency

The anticipated starting hourly range for this role is $20.00 - $23.00This position is eligible for an organizational performance based annual bonus, subject to board discretion and approval.This position is eligible for an individual performance based annual bonus.

• Maintain high level of proficiency in operating all internal PenFed systems or platforms to include but limited to SalesForce, PenTeller, Knowledge, Hogan, inbound calls network, etc. to support needs of members, and business.
• Support additional PenFed initiatives to support needs of members, and business.
• If Notary Public, will be responsible for providing members Notary Services while adhering to all state laws/regulations related to the notarization of documents.
• Provide in-bound call support, where required.
