Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA is seeking a Retail Store Associate to help transform lives through the power of work. You will support the mission by collecting, processing, and selling donated goods at our retail stores and donation centers, embracing a fast-paced, team‑oriented environment and delivering quality customer service.

The role requires strong communication, basic math skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodations.
• Ability to work a full shift of at least 8 hours per scheduled workday.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a role model and instructor in the subject of 'work' for individuals in training or job placement programs.
• Greet and assist customers with merchandise selection and operate the cash register per policy.
• Close out cash drawer at shift end and balance cash amounts.
• Ensure excellent customer service and direct complaints appropriately.
• Rotate merchandise and maintain display setup and store cleanliness.
• Cross-train in other stations and perform duties as assigned by the manager.
