Job summary

Schweitzer Mountain is seeking a Retail Associate to sell and merch mountain sports apparel and accessories. The role requires a basic understanding of retail and a commitment to customer service. Applicants must be at least 16 and available weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities include maintaining a friendly demeanor, supporting operations, building product knowledge, handling cash, keeping areas tidy, and learning Schweitzer facilities to assist guests.

Position Summary

The Retail Associate is responsible for the selling and merchandising of mountain sports apparel and accessories. This role requires a basic understanding of the retail industry and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and available to work weekends and holidays.

Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities

• Maintain a friendly, professional, and outgoing demeanor with customers and team members.

• Handle cash transactions accurate and consistently; balance cash tills at the end of each shift.
• Keep merchandise and work areas clean, organized, and visually appealing.

Specific Job Skills

License/Certifications- None

Technical- Basic computer knowledge and comfortable with a computer based point of sale.

Physical Capabilities- Able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Will lift 25lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Minimum education required – English reading writing and communication.

Minimum time in related position- 6 months cash handling position preferably in retail.
