Schweitzer Mountain Resort is hiring a Market Clerk for a Seasonal, part-time or full-time role in Sandpoint, ID. The position requires age verification for alcohol purchases, weekend and holiday availability, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ to sell alcohol.
• Weekend and holiday availability.
• Minimum education: High School diploma or GED.
• 6 months cash handling experience in retail preferred.
• Idaho Alcohol Beverage Training Certificate; company will help you acquire.
• Comfortable with a computer-based point of sale (Squirrel).

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, outgoing, and professional customer service at all times.
• Accurately verify customer age by checking identification for alcohol purchases.
• Proactively address operational needs with minimal supervision.
• Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and balance the cash till daily.
• Restock goods as needed.
• Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and presentable to the public.

Position Summary :

The Market Clerk is responsible for selling a variety of items including sundries, Schweitzer-branded merchandise, ice cream, beer, bottled liquor, and other beverages. This role requires compliance with Idaho state laws regarding alcohol sales; therefore, applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Hours of work will extend past lift operations.

Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities :

Specific Job Skills :

License/Certifications- Idaho State Police Alcohol Beverage Training Certificate, we will help you acquire.

Technical- Basic computer knowledge and comfortable with a computer based point of sale (Squirrel is our current system).

Physical Capabilities- Able to stand or walk for up to 10 hours per shift. Will lift 25lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
