Job summary

SSA Consulting Group is seeking a Retail Associate in Columbus, OH to deliver exceptional guest service, merchandise products, and maintain a clean, organized store environment. You will assist with stock, handle transactions, and support SSA/Client guidelines across locations.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work varied hours, including nights and weekends. Previous retail experience is a plus; all education backgrounds are eligible.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team-oriented with ability to work independently.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Experience with basic POS systems.
• Able to lift/move boxes (10–35 lbs).
• Flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill guest needs quickly and efficiently.
• Inform leadership when stock is low or for special requests; coordinate with warehouse to pull items.
• Relay guest feedback to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment.
• Uphold company policies and procedures.
• Perform SSA EXTRA Guest Service steps to ensure a memorable guest experience.
• Check and stock supplies in counters and displays; keep areas neat and accurate.
• Clean tables, chairs, and equipment as needed.
• Keep counters/floors clean and debris-free.
• Maintain balanced cash drawer as assigned.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Merchandise products to maximize sales; promote with promotions and suggestive selling.
• Support sustainability/conservation efforts and community engagement.
• Contribute to hiring efforts and engagement activities.
