Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia seeks a full-time Retail Associate to support store operations, process donations promptly, and maintain an appealing, customer-focused sales floor. Preferred to have a High School diploma or GED; no prior experience required.

You must pass a criminal background check, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and be available for evenings and weekends as needed. You will work as part of a team, follow safety procedures, and contribute to a positive workplace

Responsibilities

• Inspects donations and determines marketability per Retail Operations Manual.
• Sorts raw material and categorizes for store use, salvage, or trash.
• Tags donated items and ensures proper display according to rotation standards.
• Puts items on the retail floor and maintains a clean, organized appearance.
• Adheres to safety and asset protection procedures; communicates with customers and management.
• Demonstrates teamwork in a fast-paced environment and learns new procedures.
• Follows assigned work schedule and adheres to uniform dress code.
