Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking a store associate to merchandize and stock products, cashier, and clean to keep the store looking its best. You’ll enhance the customer shopping experience by working collaboratively with the ALDI team and providing exceptional customer service.

Starting wage is $19.50 per hour with 30+ hours per week on average. Wage increases: Year 2 $20.00, Year 3 $20.50, Year 4 $20.50, Year 5 $21.50.

Qualifications

• Provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Operate store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, pallet jacks, handheld devices, and computers.
• Follow ALDI operating policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
• Work independently or with others.
• Organize, prioritize and complete tasks within established timeframes.
• Maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
• Meet availability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise and stock product, cashier, and complete cleaning to keep the store presentable.
• Use the POS system to scan items and process purchases.
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures.
• Stock shelves according to merchandising planograms to maximize sales.
• Complete curbside pickup orders and ensure timely delivery to customers’ vehicles.
• Support store management to achieve operational efficiency and loss goals.
• Maintain a safe working environment and report hazards.
• Follow inventory procedures and product handling guidelines.
• Perform general cleaning tasks to company standards.
