Job summary

Irving Oil is seeking a Food Service Associate in New York. You will greet customers and deliver exceptional service while supporting your team during every interaction.

Responsibilities include preparing foods to order, serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety. The role emphasizes quality, courtesy, and adherence to The Irving customer experience standards.

Qualifications

• 2 years in a customer service role.
• G.E.D or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the brand and “The Irving” customer experience standards
• Greeting customers, including answering phones, by providing clients with the highest level of customer service
• Prepare a variety of foods according to customers’ orders or supervisors’ instructions, following approved procedures
• Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages and package take-outs if needed
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain food preparation and serving areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and work surfaces to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
• Ensure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, refrigeration, and other kitchen equipment
• Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and added items, and rotating stock
• Handle, store, and rotate all food products and supplies according to The Irving policies and procedures
• Wash, mix, peel and/or cut various foods to prepare for cooking or serving

The expected hourly range for this position is $16.00-$20.00. Placement within range will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, and skills.
