Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries Rehabilitation Center, Inc. in West Chester, OH seeks an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Retail Store Manager and oversee daily operations, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, budgeting, and records.

The role includes supervising staff, training associates, managing donations workflow, cash handling, and enforcing safety and store standards to deliver exceptional service and store execution.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years of previous retail progressive management experience preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail or equivalent industry.
• Experience selecting, coaching, and developing associates in retail.
• Proficiency in setting and managing store schedules.
• Clear English communication, both written and spoken.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Knowledge of thrift and resale industry; customer service oriented.
• Strong interpersonal skills with integrity and respect for others.

Mansioni

• Oversee operation of the retail store in partnership with the Retail Store Manager.
• Perform daily administrative functions: cash transactions, supplies, opening/closing.
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Assist in supervision and training of employees.
• Greet donors, unload donations, sort items, handle receipts and sales.
• Maintain customer service excellence and safe store environment.
• Monitor donation processes, sales procedures, and payroll expenses.
• Ensure proper staffing and store upkeep; communicate across divisions.
• Support employment/training programs aligned with Goodwill mission.
