Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Albuquerque location.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily store activities, organizing merchandise, opening/closing procedures, payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, and coaching store associates. The role requires strong communication, energy, and a focus on a safe, friendly customer environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention
• Maintain neat, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure store assets including cash
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Ensure cleanliness of the store including restrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned
