Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Albuquerque is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development.

The role includes opening/closing duties, merchandising, loss prevention, payroll and scheduling, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked store environment while ensuring safety and policy compliance. You will assist the Store Manager in supervising and training Store Associates to deliver friendly service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical store duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure policy compliance by associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful store environment.
• Keep store clean including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
