Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Anniston, AL to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, and organize merchandise from the delivery truck to the stockroom and sales floor.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, following corporate directives, maintaining promotional displays, payroll and scheduling tasks, and supervising Store Associates to ensure a positive, safe environment for

• High school diploma or equivalent (required/readable directives).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and related store communications.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms, floors, trash and neatness of areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
