Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Alabaster location. You will assist with daily store operations and customer service, help develop team members, and ensure the sales floor and stockroom are organized and inviting.

The role requires strong communication and a willingness to supervise and train store associates. This position offers part-time hours with opportunities to grow within a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Store management experience in retail is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized sales floor and stockroom
• Protect and secure all store assets including cash
• Adhere to safety policies and store procedures
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms
• Other duties as assigned
