Job summary

DTLR, Inc. in Glen Burnie, MD is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, drive sales, manage expenses and inventory, and uphold merchandising standards across the store.

You will lead the store team, deliver outstanding customer service, train staff, monitor performance, handle scheduling (40 hours weekly) and coordinate travel between stores within the district as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in retail management.
• Strong English communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lead, train and develop a store team.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall quality and performance of the retail store staff.
• Ensures compliance of all company policies and procedures.
• Models effective leadership to gain commitment to store goals and training standards.
• Assist with recruitment, selection and training of store personnel.
• Assist with annual performance evaluations for all store employees.
• Assist with expense management and develop strategies to meet budget.
• Monitor shrink and identify issues to achieve company goals.
• Support training of employees in selling and merchandising techniques.
• Ensure customer service standards are upheld and provide a friendly environment.
• Assist in merchandise inventory counts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
