Job summary

Family Dollar in Savannah, GA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening/closing, merchandise flow, and loss prevention while upholding company standards.

The role focuses on coaching store associates, maintaining clean, well-stocked sales floors and stockrooms, and ensuring safety and a positive environment for customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members.
• Ability to read and interpret operational directives and apply them to daily tasks.
• Experience in retail management or supervisory roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Provide excellent customer service and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise flow from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Follow directives and maintain payroll, scheduling and cash handling records.
• Support loss prevention and protect store assets.
