Job summary

FirstCash Holdings, Inc. is recruiting an Assistant Store Manager for our Houma, LA location. You will support Store Manager in daily operations, lead staff, and promote a customer-centric environment across a busy pawn shop setting.

The role includes overseeing cash handling, inventory, and customer relations while driving profitability and protecting assets. Remaining flexible with hours and embracing sales incentives is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Able to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Cash handling experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
• Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers so their development meets FirstCash standards.
• Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels.
• Opens and closes the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, and ensuring procedures protect assets.
• Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
• Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, and reporting.
• Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
• Ensure operating standards meet FirstCash standards.
• Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of loans issued.
• Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested.
• Communicate clearly with employees to ensure alignment with mission and objectives.
• Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
• Act as manager on duty in absence of Store Manager.
• Other related duties as assigned.
