Job summary

Daily Thread is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Plainfield to drive sales and deliver an outstanding customer experience. You will help shape store strategy, align the team with company values, and oversee opening/closing tasks, inventory, and visual merchandising.

The role requires 1+ years in Assistant Manager duties, a proactive sales mindset, and strong communication. Expect 32–40 hours per week with hands-on coaching and collaboration with the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Previous retail management experience, ideally 1+ years in Assistant Manager responsibilities.
• Results-driven with a strong sales focus and ability to lead and coach a team.
• Positive, high-energy, friendly and engaging personality; proactive in engaging customers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for customers and partners.
• Proficient with technology, including retail POS systems and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Exceed personal and store sales goals and develop sales skills among team members.
• Devise and implement sales strategies to optimize revenue and customer experience.
• Capture and manage client information, including contact details.
• Address customer needs and objections with effective problem-solving.
• Maintain merchandising standards and understand store layout and pricing.
• Ensure housekeeping and visual merchandising standards are upheld.
• Operate POS, CRM and inventory tools effectively.
• Support loss prevention and inventory security procedures.
• Assist Store Manager with coaching and onboarding of new employees.
• Collaborate in recruitment and interview processes.
