Dollar Tree in Newark, DE is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities and help supervise store associates to ensure a positive shopping experience.

The role emphasizes maintaining inventory, processing corporate directives, and upholding safety and cleanliness standards in a fast-paced retail environment. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and able to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Capable of lifting up to 55 lbs and frequent walking, standing, and bending.

Mansioni

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean, restocked, and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
