Hibbett, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Tahlequah, OK store. You will assist the Store Manager with operations, merchandising, scheduling, and customer service to meet store goals.

This non-exempt, hourly role requires retail experience, leadership potential, and a strong focus on accuracy and teamwork. Reports to Store Manager; handles responsibilities in the Manager's absence and drives sales.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.
• Is a self-starter, has initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision.
• Is a team-player, passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the Store Manager's absence.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments as needed.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to help ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure each department’s responsibilities and standards are met.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Maintain high-quality customer service per company policies.
