Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Butler, PA to support store operations, customer service and team development. The role involves assisting with daily store activities, organizing merchandise, and helping manage payroll and loss prevention.

You will lead store associates, uphold merchandising standards, and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming shopping environment for customers and staff alike. This position is part-time and based in Butler.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform multiple physical activities.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise between delivery, stockroom and sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain a well-stocked store with organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including restrooms and floors, and keep areas neat.
• Other duties as assigned.
