Job summary

Dollar Tree in Franklin, IN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will assist with merchandising, staff coaching, opening/closing procedures, loss prevention, and maintaining a clean, organized store that meets company standards. This role requires strong communication and leadership to drive excellent customer experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures, ensure team compliance
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff
• Keep store clean, restock, and ensure all areas are neat and presentable
• Other duties as assigned
