Job summary

Roses Discount Stor is seeking motivated individuals to support our stores, providing essential products at great values to the communities we serve. As an Assistant Manager/Key Carrier, you will deliver excellent customer service and assist the Store Manager with overall store operations to meet company goals.

You will help hire, train and develop team members, supervise daily store activities, and ensure adherence to policies while maintaining a professional, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical store tasks.
• Able to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Able to work flexible, full-time or part-time hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring, training and developing store team members as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional, friendly environment with customers, subordinates and supervisors.
• Keep stockroom and sales floor organized to company standards.
• Direct hourly team members when the Store Manager is not present.
• Process all corporate directives and directives from the Store Manager.
• Assist in receipt, return of DSD merchandise and freight flow management.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards and stocking needs.
