Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, deliver strong customer service, and develop the team at our East Rutherford location.

You will assist with daily store functions, merchandise flow, and compliance with company directives while maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming shopping environment for customers and associates alike.

This role offers part-time hours with opportunities for growth within the retail network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail or similar environment preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, and bending.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and managing inventory and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets including cash and safekeeping procedures.
• Ensure adherence to policies, safety guidelines, and procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
