Job summary

Madewell in Natick, MA is seeking an Assistant Manager to join the store leadership team. You’ll drive profitability through genuine customer connections, brand loyalty, and community engagement, coaching the sales team to maximize performance.

You will collaborate with the leadership team to adapt strategies and ensure smooth operational support as needed. You’ll have 1–2 years of retail management experience and a passion for the brand.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail management experience with similar scope.
• Passionately support our brand, customers, and teams.
• Stay up to date with current fashion trends and industry developments.
• Embrace teamwork, flexibility, and courtesy while executing tasks.
• Innovate and champion new ideas while navigating uncertainty, strong problem-solving skills.
• Scheduling flexibility including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Must bend, reach, lift at least 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Director & Associate Store Manager to impact business results with brand connection.
• Own your division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Manage store operations, systems, and technology with accountability.
• Assist Store Director with recruiting, training and development.
• Partner with leadership to create a collaborative environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team exceeds goals and delivers best-in-class customer service.
• Lead product knowledge sessions to elevate customer connection.
• Engage the community and build loyalty through events.
• Step into various roles on the sales floor as needed.
