Job summary

J.Crew Factory is seeking an Assistant Manager to join the leadership team and drive profitability through strong customer connections and brand loyalty. You’ll coach the sales team, ensure operational support, and collaborate with leaders to adapt strategies for success.

You’ll oversee divisions like Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR and Service, while keeping teams aligned to goals and delivering exceptional service. Flexibility to work retail hours is required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of retail management experience with a similar scope.
• Passionately support our brand, customers, and teams.
• Stay up to date with current fashion trends and industry developments.
• Embrace teamwork, flexibility and courtesy while executing tasks.
• Innovate and champion new ideas while navigating uncertainty.
• Scheduling flexibility including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must bend, reach, stretch for product and lift 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Director & Associate Store Manager to impact profitability and brand.
• Own designated division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Manage store operations, systems and technology with accountability.
• Assist with recruiting, training and development as needed.
• Partner to create a collaborative working environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team exceeds goals and provides best-in-class customer service.
• Lead fit sessions to boost product knowledge and customer connection.
• Engage community and build loyalty through events.
• Step into various roles on the sales floor when needed.
