Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking an Assistant Manager in a retail location to join the management team. You will contribute to maximizing financial results, store appearance, customer experience, and associate satisfaction, while acting as a positive role model for staff and customers.

You will lead by example, support onboarding and regular meetings, and ensure donations are processed efficiently, with a focus on exceptional service and store standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 Years' experience in a leadership role required.
• No professional certifications are required for this position.
• The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties.
• The associate in this position will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Identifies work to be done, prioritizes and delegates, assists in developing associates to drive store financial goals.
• Promotes and sets the example for Goodwill’s standards of exceptional customer service, both internally and externally.
• Assists the store management team with onboarding, monthly meetings, check-ins and appraisals.
• Solicits customer and associate feedback.
• Recognizes and rewards behaviors that reinforce progress and success using all recognition programs.
• Maximizes the value of all donated goods and ensures donations are received and processed quickly and efficiently.
