Job summary

Everything But Water, LLC in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in delivering a customer-centric shopping experience while driving sales. You will help manage day-to-day operations, staffing, and inventory, and you will lead a team of Associates to deliver extraordinary service.

This role requires 3-5 years in retail sales, 1-2 years in retail management, and open availability including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in retail sales.
• 1-2 years in retail management.
• Open availability to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluent in English (spoken, read, and written).
• Able to stand/walk for an eight-hour shift, climb a ladder, and lift 15 pounds.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Manage sales and expenses to optimize results.
• Support Store Manager in staffing to ensure excellent customer service.
• Ensure adequate shift coverage and scheduling based on business needs.
• Assist Store Manager with recruiting, hiring, and training Associates.
• Maintain brand standards around cleanliness, organization, and visuals.
• Support Store Manager to foster collaboration and accountability.
• Demonstrate understanding of sales goals and align behaviors accordingly.
• Supervise and train staff in Store Manager’s absence.
