Job summary

Everything But Water in Charleston, SC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager by delivering outstanding customer service, driving sales, and managing store operations in the manager's absence.

You will lead a team of Associates, participate in recruiting and training, manage scheduling, and ensure merchandising and store standards are maintained. Excellent communication and a guest-focused mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in retail sales.
• 1-2 years in retail management.
• Open availability to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic merchandising and visual skills.
• High level interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physical requirements include standing and walking for long shifts, climbing a ladder, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Manage sales and expenses to optimize results
• Support Store Manager in staffing levels to ensure excellent customer service
• Ensure adequate shift coverage and scheduling to business needs
• Assist Store Manager with recruiting, hiring, and training Associates
• Maintain brand standards around cleanliness, organization, and visual presentation
• Support Store Manager to build a culture of collaboration and accountability
• Demonstrate understanding of sales goals and align behaviors accordingly
• Supervise and train staff in Store Manager’s absence
