Job summary

Dollar Tree in Robinson, IL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandise placement, opening/closing duties, and adherence to corporate directives while maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for customers and staff.

The role requires strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills, with an emphasis on customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent physical activity including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and climbing

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention
• Maintain store areas and secure assets including cash
• Adhere to policies and ensure safety guidelines are followed
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Maintain cleanliness of the store including bathrooms, floors, and waste disposal
• Other duties as assigned*
