Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Robinson, IL location. You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, and help train and guide Store Associates in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and a focus on delivering excellent customer experiences while maintaining store standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing, and transferring merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed and ensure seasonal areas are maintained.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities and communications.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Ensure store areas are clean and presentable, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
