Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Store Manager in Training to lead a high-energy retail team at our Robinson, IL location. The role emphasizes on-the-job training to manage store profitability, merchandising, and customer experience.

You will recruit and coach associates, delegate daily tasks, and ensure compliance with policies while maintaining a welcoming store environment. Successful candidates will have retail management experience, strong communication skills, and physical stamina to perform

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience is preferred.
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus is preferred.
• Strong productivity management in freight processing is required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Must be able to lift 30 to 50 lbs. and perform physical duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire store associates to serve customers.
• Coach and develop associates through training on operations and merchandising.
• Oversee and delegate store activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with laws/regulations and company policies.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Implement merchandising directives from corporate headquarters.
• Help store reach maximum profit contribution.
• Protect company assets and maintain high customer service levels.
