Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Manhattan, KS is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, merchandising, scheduling, and customer service. You will assist in coordinating store activities and ensuring high service levels.

You will also lead in the manager's absence, train staff, monitor inventory and sales trends, and ensure proper adherence to company policies while driving store profitability and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear and apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets.
• Help establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume store responsibilities in the Store Manager's absence.
• Support personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers when needed.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Maintain customer service standards and assist during peak periods.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Uphold company policies, procedures, and manuals.
