Job summary

Dollar Tree in Renton, WA seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and staff development. You will help with daily activities, open/close tasks, and ensuring the store runs smoothly while maintaining a welcoming environment.

The role requires strong communication and organizational abilities, with experience in retail management preferred. This is a part-time position focused on delivering excellent customer service and maintaining store standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and related communications for store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays to ensure effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to meet company standards.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff comply.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
