Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a part-time team member to support daily store operations and deliver excellent customer service. The role involves handling merchandise, assisting customers, and maintaining organized stockrooms and sales floors.

You will assist management, ensure clean, safe store conditions, and support high-energy store activities. Experience in retail and strong communication skills are valued for creating a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefronts.
