Hibbett I City Gear Huntsville is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, customer service, and merchandise execution. You will lead in selling, restocking, merchandising, and scheduling while upholding company standards.

In this role you’ll supervise staff in the Manager’s absence, drive store performance, and deliver outstanding service to shoppers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear/apparel.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and handle multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated teamwork and leadership capabilities.
• Willingness to take initiative and learn store operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets and operations.
• Collaborate with Store Manager on action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• With Store Manager, assume store responsibilities in their absence.
• Support in personnel recruitment, training, and evaluation.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments when needed.
• Ensure inventory, sales statistics, and expenses align with profitability goals.
