Job summary

Cavender’s is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in San Antonio, Texas to join the Store Management Team. You will support the company culture while helping lead daily store operations, including opening and closing, supervising the team, and staying active in sales.

You will coach and train associates, drive performance on sales, labor, and customer experience, ensure a clean and safe environment, and lead company initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support Cavender’s culture and drive Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Maintain active role in personal selling and meet sales per hour goals.
• Train and coach store associates on sales techniques and product knowledge.
• Act as Manager on Duty; supervise day-to-day operations and open/close the store.
• Address customer complaints and handle returns/exchanges.
• Improve sales, maintain profit, and reduce controllable expenses using key metrics.
• Lead training and development of associates; monitor safety and security.
• Ensure store is clean, well-stocked, and visually presented.
• Manage labor via scheduling; approve payroll; monitor timecard accuracy.
