You will train associates, act as Manager on Duty as needed, address customer concerns, and ensure adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to sell product and manage a retail department.
• Proven ability to drive results, develop talent, excel in customer service and exercise sound decision making and judgement.
• Ability to comprehend basic instructions, interpret documents and apply abstract principles to a wide range of complex tasks.
• Associate must be able to read English.
• Associate must be able to understand English.
• Associate must be able to stay alert and productive during work hours assigned.

Responsibilities

• Support the Cavender's Culture and drive our Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Maintain active role in personal selling, meeting or exceeding sales per hour goals.
• Be able to perform the tasks of and train all other associate positions in the store.
• Act as Manager on Duty as assigned.
• Assist in the day-to-day management of the retail store and supervise associates to deliver Best of the WEST customer service and drive sales.
• Open and close store as directed.
• Address customer complaints and handle returns and exchanges.
• Handle associate assignments and concerns.
• Assist in increasing sales, maintaining profit, and reducing controllable expenses using key metrics.
• Lead training of store associates on sales techniques and product knowledge.
• Contribute to a safe and secure store environment and report incidents.
• Understand and execute all company policies and procedures.
• Lead Loss Prevention measures in the store.
• Lead and support team to deliver Best of the WEST service, keep the store stocked and organized.
• Ensure store looks clean and professional; set expectations with associates.
• Monitor and optimize store payroll and timecard accuracy.
• Handle and elevate customer or personnel issues with leadership.
• Drive company initiatives with the store team.
• Any other duties as assigned.
